Austin Street Productions, Inc. is a production company and creative incubator based in New York. We specialize in the creation of unscripted series, independent documentaries and international formats for networks and streamers.

We also focus on helping independent producers transform their great show ideas and amazing access into premium content through development, pitching and production. Our twenty-plus years of experience provides essential creative and business guidance for each project.

We pride ourselves on the ability to craft compelling stories from a multitude of topics: from the inspiring tales of the men and women rebuilding Ground Zero to the mud-lovin’ escapades of a redneck family in Alabama. The wide range of worlds and characters we interact with every day is our favorite part of what we do.

Our work has appeared on A&E, Animal Planet, Discovery, The History Channel, HGTV, TLC, Travel Channel, National Geographic, OWN, Science, and Smithsonian Channel. Full project list available on request.

Austin Street is represented by Melissa Campbell of Contentum Consulting.

Bill Hunt

Bill is an independent producer’s best friend. He works closely with producers to develop program concepts and pitches them to networks around the world. Bill’s programming expertise ranges from reality, docu-soap, and lifestyle programming to every kind of documentary imaginable. Bill is also a prolific idea generator and manages Austin Street’s stable of vibrant on-camera characters and exclusive access to the most amazing things. He also holds the award for the messiest office in North America.

Bill started his career producing and writing award-winning documentaries for Discovery and The History Channel. Bill’s production experience gives him the ability to develop programming while understanding the production process, in English: the producer in him reigns in the developer. Prior to setting out the Austin Street shingle, Bill was the SVP, Development of KPI, an NYC-based production company.

Bill was awarded a Primetime Emmy® as executive producer for “Rome: Engineering an Empire.” He is a voracious reader, a collector of movie posters and comic books and a serial student, receiving his undergraduate degree in accounting from Albany State University, an MBA in marketing from Hofstra University, and an MFA in TV and film from Brooklyn College.
